Smith County Rescue operates solely on donations from public, private & government entities. We are a non-profit 501( C )(3) organization and donations are tax exempt.
Our dedicated members are all unpaid volunteers and receive no compensation of any kind. We do not charge those in need for any service we provide. All donations are used strictly for operations, equipment & training.
Operating on limited funds are one of our biggest challenges. With every call we have expenses from fuel to general wear and tear on our equipment that we have to keep serviced and operational. Updating old equipment is always a major expense. Typically, on large items, we secure a bank loan, then use portions of our donations to meet those yearly payment obligations.
